I can’t believe it has been just over a year since my dear little sister got married to Rob. It was such a magical and special day full of so much love. I was a blubbering mess the whole day, she even needed to calm me down. Anyway this was my wedding present to her and Rob.
When my sister contacted me to ask me to design her wedding invites I knew that it would be no mean feat. It was such a big job to take on, not because of the actual task or her demands but the pressure I put on myself to make and deliver a beautiful finished product that would serve as her and Robs wedding present from me. Little did I know the hours and hours of work I had put upon myself.
When I do something I want to do it 150%, I want to go big and instead of biting off smaller projects I go in with full guns blazing which sometimes (a lot of times) finds me with un finished projects. Not this time though, this was a massive achievement to get done. I feel so so proud of myself for having this under my belt. It makes me cherish the memory of the wedding along with hours spent with my dearest friends Camille and Blake and of course my Borja. Without their help this project definitely wouldn’t be what it was.
So from the start the process that entailed getting the finished product
It all started with a wobbly trip to the most amazing paper shop I have ever been to. Cue hilarious scenes of me and Camille trying to cycle with a wide load of paper through the narrow streets of El Borne.
Wish I could’ve learnt to ask whether the shop could cut the paper for me. Hours upon hours spent cutting bloody brown paper (on a sticky hot San Juan evening), only to discover on a subsequent trip that they could cut all the paper to size. GAH!
